WEYE Clean energy trains Bugula Women

Bugula landing site in Katosi town council, Mukono district in Uganda on the shores of Lake Victoria has a population of about 600 people most of which are women and youth. The main economic activity is fishing which is heavily monitored by regional Fisheries Protection Unit because its alleged that residents engage in illegal fishing practices. For this case women unemployment is high.

Katosi Women Waste to Wealth Training Workshop

WEYE Clean Energy funded by Katosi Women’s Development Trust held a Katosi Women Waste to Wealth Training workshop in Buzideeri Landing Site in Mukono District. This 2 day training from the 16th to 17th of January 2019 was aimed at 3 major outcomes;

Who we are in brief

WEYE in WEYE Clean Energy Co. LTD stands for Waste to Energy Youth Project. The company was founded in 2015 by Galabuzi Brian initially as The Waste to Energy Youth Project aimed at equipping youth with practical and entrepreneurial skills in waste management, clean energy production and smart agriculture. For sustainability WEYE clean energy company limited was registered as a company to produce and supply fuel briquettes, construct stoves and provide consultation and training services.

What we do

We produce and supply eco-friendly briquettes made from municipal bio degradable and agro waste. Construct institutional stoves for big institutions like schools, prisons which are made to use briquettes and preserve heat for long. Provide training and consultancy in smart agriculture, fish farming. Supply house hold clean cook stoves made by CEFA Uganda. Below are your products and services.

Kyoto Eco briquettes

Our aim is to produce High Quality briquettes that burns three times longer than ordinary charcoal. They are Smokeless, Affordable and Environmentally friendly briquettes.

Household clean cook stoves

We distribute house hold clean cook stoves made by CEFA Uganda LTD. These clean cook stoves reduce health and safety risks, lower fuel expenses compared to traditional wood and charcoal stoves.

Institutional stoves

These are stoves meant for large scale cooking used in institutions like schools, hospitals, prisons. and universities.

Consultation and training

Consultancy and training in Energy financing, briquette production, marketing,
urban gardening (smart agriculture), commercial mushroom gardening, fish farming and bio-gas systems.
